Erikas Venskus loaned out to Lietkabelis 7
Youngster Erikas Venskus, who was one of the most efficient players in NKL, the second division of Lithuanian basketball, will be moving to Lithuania’s top division next season. Zalgiris agreed to loan out the prospect to Lietkabelis Panevezys.
The 205 cm tall Venskus, who just celebrated his 20th birthday spent most of the last two seasons in Zalgiris-2, but also had a chance to make his EuroLeague and LKL debuts.
Last season, the big man averaged 15.1 points, 6.2 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 23 minutes of game time. That summed up to an average efficiency rating of 15.1
Venskus played his best game against Vytis Sakiai, where he dropped 26 points, 7 rebounds and 31 efficiency.
He also represented Lithuania in the U19 World Cup and was the stand-out performer for the team, averaging 12.9 points, 7.3 rebounds and 2.0 assists for a 15.4 efficiency rating.
