COVID-19 results negative for Zalgiris and Lauvergne 11
Zalgiris returned to Lithuania after their EuroLeague Round 2 game against Khimki Moscow Region in Russia on Saturday.
After securing the victory in Mytishchi Arena, the team immediately packed up and headed to the airport for a charter flight to Vilnius, where the entire delegation had their COVID-19 tests done.
On Sunday morning Zalgiris received an answer that all the results are negative.
Zalgiris competed in Russia without big man Joffrey Lauvergne who had received a positive COVID-19 test on Wednesday. The Frenchman isn‘t feeling any symptoms and did two additional tests on Friday and Saturday, with both tests coming back negative.
After receiving two consecutive negative COVID-19 tests, Zalgiris will reach out to the authorities to have the initial test for Lauvergne to be deemed incorrect and the center could end his self-isolation process
