Patricio Garino undergoes meniscus surgery 9
Zalgiris will be missing out on swingman Patricio Garino for at least another 6 weeks. The 201 cm Argentinian underwent meniscus surgery on the 15th of October.
The surgery was performed in Gijos Kilinikos by long-term doctor of the Lithuanian men’s national team, orthopedic traumatologist Rimtautas Gudas, who has officially been working with Zalgiris since last year.
While playing for Baskonia Vitoria last season, Patricio Garino suffered a difficult cruciate ligament injury, and still couldn’t practice in full strength when he came to Lithuania at the end of July.
The forward who holds both Argentinian and Italian nationalities came into additional pains during his rehab in Kaunas, and it was ultimately decided that to fully bring Garino back on his feet, he would require another surgery. After a successful surgery, Garino is not expected back on the court for at least the next six weeks.
