#MyStartingFive. Walkup’s line-up choices raise some eyebrows 0
Zalgiris’ adopted son Thomas Walkup joined up with Zalgiris TV for an episode of the #MyStartingFive segment.
Just like Rokas Jokubaitis, Marius Grigonis and team captain Paulius Jankunas before him, Walkup had to chose a line-up from players he’s played with or against throughout his career.
Alongside one of his current teammates, the 28-year-old included several names that few basketball supporters in Lithuania would recognize.
Walkup decided to pick up two of his teammates from college in the Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks, giving the point guard reigns to Trey Pinkney with Connor Brooks as his backcourt partner.
Thomas made his Small Forward choice based on an important criteria, as he cited both Arturas Milaknis’ shooting abilities and the visuals of his beard.
The American picked his brother Nathan Walkup as his number four, as he closed out the starting unit with his center, Brandon Davies, who he played with a couple of years ago in Zalgiris.
