Positive COVID-19 case detected in Zalgiris 2

Zalgiris has found another case of COVID-19 amongst the team’s players. Lukas Lekavicius, who had contact with an ill person, has been in self-isolation since Tuesday, and his test results came back positive on Friday.

Lekavicius separated from the team and didn’t play in Tuesday’s game against Nevezis-Optibet. His test results came back negative on Tuesday, but he felt symptoms on Thursday.

Another Zalgiris player, Steve Vasturia has also been in self-isolation since Wednesday, as he’s had contact with an ill person not in the team environment. He hasn’t felt COVID-19 symptoms and his tests came back negative on Friday. All the other Zalgiris members also received negative results, as they prepare for Saturday’s Betsafe-LKL game. Marek Blazevic, who was recently sick, is now healthy and has already returned to the line-up.
