Zalgiris takes down Neptunas on the road 2

Zalgiris added another one to the win column in the Betsafe-LKL, as they knocked down Neptunas on the road for a 88-72 victory.

The green-and-whites didn’t get off to the best of starts, as they found themselves down 0-8 three minutes in. Nevertheless, before the quarter ended, the visitors from Kaunas managed to put their noses ahead, 17-16.

Zalgiris managed to set themselves up with a tangible lead before the final ten minutes, going up by 13. Thomas Walkup iced the game with a scoring punch in the fourth quarter, and Zalgiris went on to win 88-72.

Walkup and Marius Grigonis were the team’s leading scorer, as they dropped 18 points apiece. Rokas Jokubaitis had 11, while Augustine Rubit and Marek Blazevic had 10 and 8, respectively.
