Zalgiris brushes Dzukija aside for 26th win 4
Zalgiris secured it’s 26th win of the season in the Betsafe-LKL, as they blew by Dzukija in Zalgirio Arena. Martin Schiller’s troops took initiative early on and came out on top 92-68.
The green-and-whites didn’t wait around, as they flew off to a double-digit lead in the opening minutes. With an offensive flurry, Zalgiris managed to jump ahead by 17, 27-10.
Nothing changed as the game progressed, as the hosts continued building on their advantage with the lead rising to an astronomical 27 points early in the second quarter.
Arturas Milaknis bagged three long-range bombs in his return after injury, and it was clear the game was all said and done. With no surprises at hand, Zalgiris calmly coasted to a big win.
Joffrey Lauvergne led the way with 14 points for Zalgiris, as Rokas Jokubaitis and Marius Grigonis added 10 points apiece. Lukas Lekavicius had a great night with 9 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists, while both Steve Vasturia and Arturas Milaknis chipped in with another 9 each.
