New Reality, a documentary film about Zalgiris’ life under a pandemic 0

As the pandemic-laden basketball season is coming to an end, Zalgiris sets out to bring the fans an inside look at what the year has been like with a more than hour-long documentary film New Reality.

The movie produced by the Zalgiris TV creative team will bring you close to the lives of the green-and-whites from the moment Lithuania took on the first wave of the pandemic up until the current day situation when the players finally received vaccines and the stands slowly started filling up with fans.

“The movie will let you see everything that the fans couldn’t witness during the season – what the team went through and how they applied themselves to the conditions of this new reality. Everything started with the wish to capture individual moments from this unusual season, but with so much footage, we came up with the idea to create a documentary.

In the documentary film New Reality, Zalgiris players, club director Paulius Motiejunas, team staff and Sarunas Jasikevicius, who ended the season as Zalgiris’ head coach, shared their stories about the reality of a basketball season in a pandemic.
