#MyStartingFive. Arturas Milaknis picks Zalgiris legends to his line-up 0

Long-term Zalgiris player Arturas Milaknis finally got his turn in Zalgiris TV’s segment #MyStartingFive, choosing players he’s played with or gone up against.

The sharpshooter selected four Lithuanian basketball stars, alongside one bucket-getting American, who all played in Zalgiris alongside Milaknis.

Milaknis started with the man in the middle, picking current Zalgiris sports director Robertas Javtokas, who was joined by Paulius Jankunas in the frontcourt.

“There were a lot of doubts for the four-spot, and I wasn’t sure who to pick, but with the tiniest of margins, I have to give this to Paulius Jankunas. I think to this day, and many days past, he’s been one of the best ‘fours’ in Lithuania and in Zalgiris hands down.”

Arturas selected another long-time Zalgiris player Jonas Maciulis as his Small Forward, and picked up EuroLeague legend Marcus Brown to be the target man on the wing.

“He left a big impression on me when I was a young guy in Zalgiris. His play, his work ethic, and all that. So he’ll slide into that two-spot.”

Milaknis had no doubts on the player he’d give the playmaking to, as he selected former Zalgiris player and coach Sarunas Jasikevicius.
