Lauvergne set to miss time with shoulder injury 17
Zalgiris is set to deal without Joffrey Lauvergne for foreseeable future after the big man suffered an injury in the Zalgiris’ EuroLeague game against Zenit St. Petersburg on Thursday.
After a collision with an opponent at the start of the third quarter, Lauvergne took a hard fall to the ground. After leaving for the locker room the Frenchman tried to come back to the court, but after few minutes had to leave the floor again.
Thorough medical examination showed that the shoulder injury is serious and Lauvergne will have to miss at least 4-6 weeks. He will be evaluated accordingly while his shoulder heals.
After losing one of the key frontcourt figures, Zalgiris will be looking for reinforcements to strengthen the team in the paint.
