Injury-struck Zalgiris healing its wounds before Bayern face-off 12
Zalgiris continues preparations for its EuroLeague Round 5 face-off against Bayern Munich in Zalgirio Arena this Thursday.
The green-and-whites will have to do without Joffrey Lauvergne, who suffered a shoulder injury, and Janis Strelnieks, who sustained a calf injury in the game against Crvena Zvezda.
Strelnieks has been working out under an individual program this week, with his condition to be reevaluated next week and a decision will be made on him rejoining team practices.
Team captain Paulius Jankunas also suffered a calf injury and missed couple of games and practices, but has a chance to be available for Thursday’s game.
Zalgiris point guard Emmanuel Mudiay, who had a painful fall to the ground in Sunday’s game in Siauliai, is working out individually and will be reevaluated on game day.
Niels Giffey wasn’t feeling too well during last two EuroLeague games and missed Sunday’s game, but he is already feeling better and is back to team practices.
Zalgiris’ game against Bayern is set to take place in Zalgirio Arena this Thursday.
