Ulanovas stars as Zalgiris Kaunas drops 102 on Pieno Zvaigzdes 3
Edgaras Ulanovas poured in 24 points, paving Zalgiris Kaunas’ way to their 20th LKL win this season, this time against hosts Pieno Zvaigzdes (3-17) by 102-83 (25-17, 26-23, 17-23, 24-20).
Jure Zdovc’s team remained at the top of the LKL with just one defeat (20-1). A few days earlier, facing the same opponent at home, Zalgiris did not face any problems on the way to another win.
The Lithuanian champs went to the locker room with an 11-point lead (51-40), which widened down the road.
Edgaras Ulanovas scored 24 points with 5 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 block and 1 steal. Marek Blazevic was equally important with 15 points and 6 rebounds, while Tai Webster had a full stat line with 13 points, 4 rebounds., 4 assists and 2 steals.
For the hosts, four players finished in double digits. Markell Johnson was the first to do so, amassing 18 points, Randy Culpepper followed with 16.
