Euroleague Basketball announced that for the second consecutive year, Zalgiris Kaunas president Paulius Motiejunas has been selected as the best executive of the just-completed EuroLeague season.

Three Euroleague Basketball clubs have been honored for their outstanding efforts off the court by being presented with the annual Devotion Marketing Awards.

Zalgiris Kaunas signed point guard Alex Perez. The Mexican guard, who was born and grew up in California, joins Lithuanian champions on “1+1+1” deal.

Lithuanian center Antanas Kavaliauskas announced that he was retiring from basketball via an Instagram post early Monday. Kavaliauskas spent the previous three seasons with Zalgiris Kaunas.

“The best big man in Zalgiris history who hasn’t had his jersey retired,” – these were the words coach Sarunas Jasikevicius used to describe Brandon Davies at the end of his two-year tenure in Kaunas.

Zalgiris Kaunas looks to start the 2019-2020 season in Tallinn on 8 September, as they will take on Estonian champion Kalev/Cramo in Saku Suurhall.

Another piece of the puzzle has just been put into place for Zalgiris, as the team reached an agreement with Lukas Lekavicius, who returns to the club after a two-year break.

One of the most talented young players in Lithuania, Rokas Jokubaitis has agreed on a long-term contract extension with Zalgiris.
