The injury-ridden Zalgiris Kaunas is strengthening its roster. Lithuanian champions have signed a contract until the end of the season with Demetre Rivers.

Zalgiris Kaunas (22-2) recorded another victory in the Betsafe-LKL defeating Rytas Vilnius (20-5) by 92-78 (27-22, 22-19, 19-16, 24-21) at a packed Zalgirio Arena.

Zalgiris Kaunas (14-20) ended their EuroLeague season with a 62-64 (9-16, 16-15, 17-13, 20-20) loss to Real Madrid (27-7).

Zalgiris Kaunas is already laying the foundations for next season. The Lithuanian champions have extended the contract with Laurynas Birutis.

Zalgiris Kaunas forward Arnas Butkevicius has suffered an ankle injury. Once the swelling subsides, Butkevicius will undergo further tests to determine the further course of his treatment.
