Lietuvos Rytas Vilnius bounced back from its opening loss in the Betsafe LKL Finals by downing archrivals Zalgiris Kaunas 82-73 at home in Game 2 on Monday.

Zalgiris began the Betsafe LKL title defense on a positive note, defeating the visiting Lietuvos Rytas 96-83 in Game 1 of the Finals at the Zalgirio Arena on Saturday.

Zalgiris power forward Aaron White received the Betsafe LKL Player of the Round honors for the semifinals after helping the defending champions to sweep Lietkabelis.

The defending LKL champions Zalgiris took the quickest route to the finals, completing a 3-0 sweep against Lietkabelis with an 83-64 victory in Game 3 of the semifinal series.

Zalgiris remains the only undefeated team in the LKL playoffs, going up 2-0 in the semifinals series against Lietkabelis with a 94-79 victory on the road in Panevezys.

The first-seeded Zalgiris side overcame tough opposition from Lietkabelis and registered a 93-69 victory in the first game of the LKL semifinals on Tuesday.

Zalgiris wasted no time in the Betsafe LKL quarterfinals and progressed to the next round of the playoffs after 84-69 victory at the Zalgirio Arena on Friday.

The defending champions defeated Nevezis 96-75 on the road in Kedainiai on Thursday and took a 2-0 lead in the quarterfinals.

Zalgiris Kaunas finished the 2017-18 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague season in style by holding off a late CSKA Moscow surge to win the third place game 77-79.
