Zalgiris announces partnership with PATA group 0
Zalgiris’ list of sponsors has been joined by the region’s leading timber supplier. The Lithuanian champions have announced a partnership with the PATA group.
The PATA group is one of the largest forestry and timber suppliers in Latvia, expanding its operations in Lithuania.
“When PATA started expanding its business operations into Lithuania, there was little doubt as to which sports organization we would like to support. The legendary Lithuanian basketball club Zalgiris has earned all the support they get, so we are proud to contribute. Zalgiris is a national brand, not only representing Kaunas but also the whole of Lithuania. We wish Zalgiris all the success and believe that this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship,” noted Jonas Steikunas, the PATA Timber Director in Lithuania.
Paulius Motiejunas, Zalgiris’ Director, was also excited to announce the new partnership.
“We have always had a lot of fans in Latvia, and it is exciting to see that this support is now turning into a real partnership. We are happy that companies expanding into the Lithuanian market choose Zalgiris as an organization that helps them brand their image in our country. Besides, this partnership is an example of forging between organization dealing in different business spheres.”
The PATA group is one of the largest forest management, timber production, logistics and trade companies in the region. It has a wide base of wholesale customers in the Baltic States, as well as in overseas markets such as South Korea, USA, Japan, Germany, China, Great Britain among others.
The PATA group also operates the largest specialized retail network for timber products in the Baltic Sea region. The Group has specialized timber product stores in Kaunas and Vilnius and it provides forest management services to Lithuanian forest owners.
After joining the ranks of Zalgiris’ partners, PATA will also be the presenting sponsor of the EuroLeague Round 27 matchup against Real Madrid on 24 February.
