I’m confident, charismatic, stubborn and demanding for myself. I’ve been living a dance lifestyle for 12 years now, and I trust this friendship to last, because this is more than just a hobby to me...
Facts:
- All-time favorite Zalgiris name: Sarunas Jasikevicius.
- Most memorable game: when Zalgiris defeated CSKA in 2018.
- Most memorable event during a game: I lost my dress during one dance. It was probably memorable for the spectators, too :)
- Most costumes changed in one game: I haven’t ever needed to change often during a Zalgiris game, but I know that the basketball cheerleaders’ abilities are special in this regard. They can do it often and very quickly.
- Best thing about being a Zalgiris cheerleader: the opportunity to dance in an arena with the largest crowd. The spectators’ emotions let you fire up for the dances.
- Why Zalgiris? You always want to take a step further. I am now dancing for the best basketball team in Lithuania.
- I associate Zalgiris with… unity, as in how everyone in the arena is clapping while chanting ZAL-GI-RIS.
- If I didn’t dance for Zalgiris, I’d… still be a dancer. I can’t imagine myself anywhere else and it’s an activity where I feel the best version of myself.
Other achievements:
I danced in various competitions for 10 years in show dance, solo dance categories. I’ve also gotten to know go-go dancing that shows how musical you are, and how you can interpret dance moves for different music. Before getting on the Zalgiris dance team, I danced for my home city’s team – Lietkabelis Panevezys.
